Back to the same old garbage keep getting the following message… a new version of Honda. Linc is available in the App Store. And is required to continue using this. If The update button is not shown reinstall the app or try again later. This is extremely frustrating if I’ve gotten this message once I’ve gotten it hundreds of times get your act together it’s horrible WHY CANT THE APP AUTOMATICALLY UPDATE SUCH A PAIN

Worthless

I use FordPass for my 2024 Bronco and it is great but HondaLink for my wife’s 2024 Honda HR-V is a huge disappointment.

Sooo annoying

This app does NOT work for me. Will not send me an email transferring my car and is so glitchy!!! Tells me to follow the next steps in the app to finish the transfer and nothing shows up in the app. Disappointing.

Online service schedule doesn’t work

Stopped working after two weeks

The app stopped working after using it for 2 weeks. 8 weeks later and multiple phone calls and emails with support and still no resolution. Love the vehicle, but I don’t have the full use of the features I was promised.

The app has great potential

The slow response time for the command to connect to the server, it’s easier to hit the remote start on the key fob.

Dissatisfied

It definitely doesn’t do as much as the other vehicle’s apps.

I paid for the subscription but didn't get any features

I have a Honda Accord 2025 and after payment I can't use the functions, they just don't exist

PAINFULLY Laggy to Update Charge Status … Why??

Doesn’t work

This app can’t locate my car, lock or unlock, or refresh. Shows no tire pressure. Pretty much useless.

Maybe in a few years it’ll be good

For such a great car, what a terrible app. So far behind other EVs like Tesla. Slow, some features like charging summary don’t work.

This app doesn’t refresh. It’s still showing that it hasn’t updated since March and it’s now May. No matter how many times I hit refresh, it doesn’t do anything

Needs to be working at all times and needs more and better features added

I have a 2024 Honda prologue EX and every time I come on this app it works and then it doesn’t work. To the point I have to delete it and then reinstall it The app need more features specially for the Honda prologue where we can do control more with the app to the car without the app not working. Or us calling OnStar or Honda its self

Not much good

I think I’ve successfully started the car from the app twice in a month. Last time I tried I had two failed attempts that took longer than 5 minutes. I finally walked to a window and used the fob to start it. If it worked efficiently I would consider purchase, but because it doesn’t I plan to let my trial expire. It’s 2025, it could be SO much better.

Not Useful for New Civic/Pilot

App doesn’t provide any remote control capability for current generation Civic or Pilot, would only update status for anything every few weeks (and then only really showed oil life). I love my Hondas, but this app is way behind the curve of GM’s remote services that I used on other vehicles I’ve owned. The Chevy Colorado I bought almost 10 years ago could lock/unlock the doors and remote start from my phone, and would update oil life and tire pressure status when prompted. Honda’s does none of those basic things. Gave up and deleted this app after having it installed for 2 years, was more frustrating than it’s worth due to it randomly and inconsistently popping up over my other iPhone apps when plugging my phone in to a vehicle. Giving it 2 stars instead of 1 because it did serve as a backup notifier for a recall, but even then it was more of an annoyance than useful. Might work to notify someone in case they missed other notifications for recalls.

This App is unreliable

Fir the past 4 weeks the app is not showing the accurate Hydrogen level in my CR-V and it doesn’t show the battery level at all. I’ve tried to sign out, uninstall, re-pair, nothing works. Super frustrating.

Wish it did more

When we bought the car we were told we could set up the temperature and the car could be warm or cold for us. Now no one is able to tell us how that is done. Wish you could track the car, like GPS, also close windows and alert you if you left the car unlocked. We also notice it doesn’t refresh properly, as an example when we filled the tank it shows full but the miles show the same as before we put gas in the car. Lots of room for improvement.

Connection issues

This app doesn’t work. It connects 10% of the time. It’s a shame that Honda, a big company cannot make it work. Shame on you.

Remote has not been working for a month

My remote features have not been working for almost a month and I pay for it. But I will say the tech team has been on it to fix my issue.

A Joke of an app

Every other car manufacturer has figured out how to make a useful app except Honda. Unless you are buying the most expensive hybrid trim level, this app has no features and is useless. There isn’t even the option to purchase an app level with actual working features. The app also does not refresh or update stats for your car.

Great app when it actually works

As the title of this review says, when the app works, it has fantastic features like remotely turning your car on, adjusting the temp, lock/unlock, etc. However, it is a constant them for this app to not work. Many times, the screen for the car does not refresh (where it says “last updated”) and you can’t do anything. There are other times where the app cannot find a connection to a car. I have been long periods of times in the past where the app was non-functional. I have reached out to the customer service reps and they have been helpful in resetting things from their side to help the app work once I re-installed it, but this has been an inconvenience. Overall rating of 3/5

Doesn’t work at the airport

Considering what they charge to have these capabilities, it should work everywhere. I’ve tried to find my car, unlock it, honk the horn, etc. and nothing works. That feels like a place where it would be extremely useful. It also doesn’t start my car if it’s cloudy and snowing. This service is extremely overpriced, and I will not be renewing.

OnStar for Prologue kills app experience

In order to use the HondaLink app for a Prologue, you have to accept the “privacy” policy of GM’s OnStar service which grants them wide open permission to collect and share all kinds of personal data including video and audio recordings, geolocation and driving habits for “any reasonable purpose” they see fit. I cannot agree to such a surveillance policy and therefore was not able to utilize any HondaLink features for my EV. Basically it’s useless unless you are okay with a corporation tracking everything you do in your car and having permission to sell it or use it for whatever they want. I wish Honda would have developed their own connected car experience with even some minimal options for privacy and personal data protection.

Frustrating

I’ve been trying to get this app to work for 4 days now. Uninstalled, restarted phone, called OnStar, called Honda. I was supposed to get IT assistance and nada. So now I have to call again. This is ridiculous! Please work out the kinks, I am not able to use some of the very features that sold the car for me.

The Worst App I Have Ever Had the Displeasure of Using

The dealer? Great experience, compared to what I was expecting. The car? A cool 2024 Prologue. The app I'm forced to use with GM's OnStar stapled onto it? Frustrating. Takes forever to load or refresh information or flat out refuses and/or fails due to an unreliable connection. I've had to uninstall and reinstall this app thrice in the two months I've had the car to get my Charge Station button to reappear. It's an appalling mess that gets slightly better with each update but reverts to the same old story after a few days. The remote commands are neat but require some lead time to communicate to the car through a server but overall are not essential. It's absolutely insulting to be expected to pay for these features after a trial period. I try to avoid using it whenever I can but that's not always practical. Until Honda pulls itself together to make this app function consistently, it deserves the lowest rating available.

No copy/paste password

Who designs an app that won’t allow copy/paste username and passwords?!? So, do you want me to use an easy-to-guess password? IDIOTS.

Displays the icons

I have the Hondalink app that displays the screen below but the icons for the on/off functions don't appear.

It’s okay

You have to redownload/update the app every few days. When my car is a 1/4 mile away it works, when it’s 40ft from my window it doesn’t.

Software update

I bought a 2024 Honda Accord for the third year, from day one there was a software error, 3 times I went to the service, they did something and everything worked for a while. Then the same error came out again. In so many years Honda has not been able to fix this problem which is a shame for your company. With new cars coming out, it's getting really bad and it seems like no one cares about it.

Horrible Experience still not working after 2 months!

This app trial is still not working or enabled and working with Hondalink support who still cannot fix the issue so I can do the trial before I can purchase a working subscription which is still not valid or able to test at this time since purchasing our 2025 Hybrid CR-V this past March! Honda what’s going on???

It’s Been 3 Months

Purchased a Honda Prologue and it has yet to work! I have had multiple emails, phone calls, resets on vehicle infotainment, I own both iOS and Android phones, calls to OnStar, more emails. This app is an absolute junk! Car is everything you want from a Honda but this tech is outdated. Do better!

Service down for last three weeks

I am trying create an account for last three weeks but getting “We are currently experiencing technical difficulties. Please try again later” error.

Worst app

This app takes forever to send the command to the car. Also when you need to unlock the car or start the car ASAP, it just doesn’t work. Still using it to track the location of vehicle. If i had any other option though i would take it over this.

Never works

The app crash everytime I try to use it. It’s not loading my car. I’ve tried everything to get it to work and it just doesn’t work.

Avoid Honda; HondaLink Stopped Working And Honda Cannot Fix Since 2025 February

Regret choosing Honda. Owner of the Honda CR-V 2025 Hybrid Sport Touring. My HondaLink stopped working and Honda cannot fix since Feb 2025. I bought the car on November 2024 and it was less than 6 months old. Their incompetency is simply amazing. I cannot do HondaLink remote start, horn, light, track location or anything. Choose Toyota if you want a reliable car, even my friends Nissan works. I would blame myself for trusting Honda and their technology. If I bought, Toyota RAV4, I would be so peaceful by now.

Performance is not consistent

About every three months I have to delete and reinstall the app in order to access all the features. When it works it’s great, but not all features work all if the time.

Terrible

The app doesn’t update in a timely manner, meaning, that according to the folks at Honda that deal with this app, it may take over a week for the app to update after service has been completed at a Honda dealer. Really. In 2025 it seems like you’re way behind the curve Honda. The app works when it wants to and doesn’t at other times. It’s basically unreliable.

Nearly Unusable and fully useless

The app quite often freezes or won’t sync with the car. It can’t really do anything that just a quick phone call will take care of.

Remote pre-conditioning

It fails 90% of the time on the first try to connect ( failed connection on display), then it is luck of the draw thereafter. It is not reliable.

Apple Watch Remote Start

I can use it on my Apple Watch to start the car remotely, and it even provides a countdown how long remaining.

Still Doesn’t Work

I’ve had my Prologue for nearly 2 months and still can’t get my car activated in the app. My ticket just keeps getting updated with a new issue weekly. This means I still can’t get my EVgo credits I was promised at the dealership. Do yourself a favor and go with Toyota. They had me all setup in the app before I even left the dealership.

Too slow to pay the $$

The app concept is nice and when it works, it works really well. I love the information it provides for my 2025 Pilot, but the response for the features are SUPER delayed. The remote start and lock/unlock door features fail constantly. Sadly, I will not be paying once my free subscription ends.

Honda App does not work

Honda app only works 5 to 10% of the time. Every time the app gets updated, Honda recommends upgrading but it is not even available in the app store. App Store and Honda are not in sync.
